you have a testimony

The week before last, I shared a little snippet of the many puzzle pieces of my life. It wasn’t something easy to talk about, but I really do feel good about putting it out there. I’ve had so many times when I felt like there was nobody in the world who could understand the pain that I was undergoing. That is why we all need to speak up about our stories. Even the messy parts were given to us to share with those who are hurt and suffering.

I chose to share my story through my blog. You might not (in fact, I think I can say, you don’t) have a blog, there are people in your life who need to hear about that season of loneliness, those three years of chemo, the grief of losing your mother, the story of your adoption, the idols you’ve surrendered to God… I know you, no matter what age you are, have a story to tell. And you need to start telling it.

You never know whose life you might change when you tell your story.
