During April, me, my mom, my aunt, my cousin, and my sisters had a chance to attend a TrueGirl event. TrueGirl is a tour created by author Dannah Gresh for tweenage girls. Tweenagehood is the most vulnerable time in a young girl’s life, therefore, this program attempts to fill tween girl’s minds with thoughts of purity, modesty, and godliness. I am a fan of the idea, truth be told.
My younger sister is a tween, so this program was very relevant to her. Even as a teenager, the tips on modesty stood out to me. I think that other girls could really benefit from attending one of these tours, and I suggest checking the TrueGirl website out. There you can find podcasts, books, and tips on how to parent and teach your girls about growing up from a godly perspective.
Teen girls might be interested in checking out the book Lies Young Women Believe. My mother purchased me a copy of the book and after finishing it, I have to say that I have rethought some of my media choices and have begun to pursue truth.
Thank you for checking out this little ramble. I hope that you check out the TrueGirl page and support the tours by buying one of the high quality books available for purchase.
‘K, bye!
